The St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps off at 12:00 noon from St. George Street and Bloor Street, filling the heart of Toronto with colour, music, and movement. Proudly recognized as the most diverse St. Patrick’s parade in the world, the Parade brings together thousands of performers, community groups, cultural organizations, and families in a joyful celebration of Irish heritage and the many cultures that now share in it.

Produced by the St. Patrick’s Parade Society of Toronto, the Parade is the culminating moment of the St. Patrick’s season — a vibrant, inclusive, and unforgettable expression of community spirit that draws hundreds of thousands of spectators year after year.

Celtic Comedy Night

Join us as we start the official countdown to the 2026 St. Patrick's Parade. Three hilarious comedians will be onsite to help us mark St. Brigid's Day and the traditional Celtic festival of Imbolc. Fiona O'Brien (Ireland) and John Motsyn (Scotland) will take the stage for an evening of camaraderie and laughter. The evening's festivities will be hosted by Lianne Mauladin.

Early Bird tickets are on sale till December 31st for $20. General admission tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. This event is limited to ages 19+. 

The night will begin with a cocktail social at 6:00pm. Doors to the comedy show will open at 7:00pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Fiona O'Brien emigrated from Dublin to Toronto in 2012. She immediately began a quest to stamp out the racism that the Irish face….One Lucky Charm at a time. Fiona quickly established herself by winning over audiences. She has performed at the Toronto Comedy Brawl, Funny Women UK , SheDot and the Halifax Comedy Festival. Fiona has been featured on CBC's LOL, JFL on Sirius XM and She’s So Funny. A fan favorite at Yuk Yuks, Fiona has also opened for Gerry Dee on tour. Her comedy album ‘Magically Malicious’ is available on iTunes and Spotify. 

John Mostyn has established himself as one of comedy's most exciting and in-demand performers. The Glaswegian's sharp storytelling and quick-witted, fish-out-of-water humour have made him a crowd favourite. His debut comedy special 'The Scotsman' was released in 2022 by Cottage Country Digital. It hit #1 on the iTunes comedy chart and earned widespread critical acclaim. In 2024, John performed a sold-out run of his solo show at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and appeared on CBC’s Accent on Toronto. He has opened for multiple comedy heavyweights including Russell Howard, Gilbert Gottfried, Rosebud Baker, James Adomian, Tom Green, Randy Feltface, Amy Miller and Josh Gondelman.

Lianne Mauladin is a first generation Canadian of Irish heritage. She is known for her straight-shooting comedy and unique perspectives. Lianne has appeared on ABC's 'The View' with her comedy also airing on iChannel, Sirius XM, and CBC. In 2021, she released her album 'Late for the Party' produced by Cottage Comedy Digital. Mauladin hosts and produces the monthly Merry-Janes of Comedy Show, the longest running all-female, stand-up showcase in Canada.

Celtic Island Music Festival – Sunday

Let’s end summer with a great party on Toronto Island! Saturday will be the first of two days of programming for the 2025 Celtic Island Music Festival. There will be cold drinks, great food and incredible views on the best patio in the city.

This event is hosted by the St. Patrick’s Parade Society of Toronto in partnership with LIUNA and the St. Andrew’s Society. Special thanks to the governments of Scotland and Ireland for their financial support.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

The stage will feature an amazing afternoon of Celtic music and dance. Local media personality Hugo Straney is returning as Master of Ceremonies. Doors will open at noon with programming running between 1-6pm.

The final schedule will be posted closer to event day. Sunday’s lineup will include:

  • Aspects of Dance Highland Team

  • Graham School of Irish Dance

  • Michael Darcy & The Atlantic Tramps

  • Jim Maxwell

TICKETS

This event sold out well in advance last year so we recommend that you do not wait to reserve your spot. Advance tickets will go on sale on August 7th for $15. A limited number may be available at the door for $20. Children under 12 are admitted for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

There is no reserved seating. Guests may choose their spot on a first come, first served basis.

This event will go on rain or shine. There are covered areas to get out of the sun or to stay dry if needed.

TRANSPORTATION

Event tickets do not include transportation. Guests may arrive via water taxi or the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal. Those coming via ferry are encouraged to buy their tickets online in advance.

THE VENUE

The Toronto Island BBQ & Beer Company is located beside the main ferry dock on Centre Island. The deck is fully licensed with an unbeatable view of the city skyline. No pets will be allowed on the premises other than service animals.

The venue has a fantastic menu including vegetarian options. No outside food or drinks are allowed.
